Birthdays, christenings, wakes, work celebrations or just an excuse for a get-together, Kennedy's Altrincham and Didsbury both have a space for it. Private hire at Kennedy's gets you free venue hire (minimum spend may apply on larger bookings) plus an event organiser to sort live music, drinks packages and decorations. Spaces flex from a private area to the whole bar. Send your date, headcount and occasion.

One year on from opening on Wilmslow Road, Kennedy's Didsbury marked its 1st birthday with a full weekend of live music, from Ye Restless Dead on Thursday through to Niamh Finan on Sunday. It's the same live music that happens every weekend at Kennedy's. Plus a look back at a big first year, a Great British Pub Awards finalist spot, the Guinness Harp Guide 2026, and sponsoring Oisin GAA Manchester's men's senior jersey.

Big congratulations to Oisin GAA Manchester, who sealed a league double this summer, the ladies retaining their title and the men taking theirs a week later. Kennedy's Didsbury has sponsored the club's men's senior jersey since March, and the players are regulars at the bar, you'll often spot them in after a match at the weekend, so come say hello and ask how they got on.

Kennedy's Didsbury has been named a finalist for Best Town Pub at the Great British Pub Awards 2026, the only Greater Manchester venue in the category.

We're proud to share that Kennedy's Didsbury has been named in the first ever Guinness Harp Guide, a list of 35 pubs across the UK recognised for serving the very best pint of the black stuff.
